Taylored Instruction – Cancellation Policy

At Taylored Instruction, we understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. However, due to the nature of our courses and the necessity of advance preparation, we have established the following refund policy:

General Refund Policy for Course Registrations:

If you need to cancel your registration for a course or appointment, you must notify the instructor or our contact email (contact@tayloredinstruction.com) at least 5 days before the first session’s scheduled start. You will be entitled to a full refund upon timely cancellation, minus a $20 cancellation fee to cover administrative costs (except in the special cases listed below). Alternatively, you may postpone your course registration and receive a 100% registration credit, free of charge. No refunds will be issued if the cancellation notice is given less than 5 days before the session starts.

Policy for American Heart Association Heartcode® (Blended Learning) Courses:

Due to the cost of the eLearning that is delivered immediately after registration, there are no refunds for Heartcode® BLS or Heartcode® Heartsaver® courses. Registration may be deferred to a future skills session.

Refund Policy for Specialized Group Classes (e.g., Lifeguard Training, Instructor Training):

Due to the specific requirements of specialized group classes, such as the purchase of materials in advance, we are unable to offer cancellations or refunds if the request is made within 1 week of the first class session. If you cancel your registration more than 1 week before the start of the class, the general refund policy (as outlined above) will apply. Refunds will not be issued for unsuccessful completion of classes or if a participant is unable to participate in a class due to failure to complete the online portion of the course, which must be completed prior to the in-person session. In the event that course prerequisites are not successfully met at the start of a class, a credit will be issued for registration in a future class.

eLearning Policy

For blended learning classes, it is your responsibility to complete the eLearning before the course begins. You will not be able to proceed in the course without first completing the eLearning. No refunds will be given for failure to complete the eLearning; if you know you won’t be able to complete it in time, please reach out to us so that we can help!

In exceptional circumstances, we may review cases on an individual basis, but this remains at the discretion of Taylored Instruction. Please contact us with any questions.
